Here's our 5 Essential pieces of furniture - every home needs.

What style does your interior follow: Minimalism, Skandi or Arts and crafts? Whilst the landscape of interior design, architecture and home furnishings is forever changing; we have some tips for you to get the most out the spaces in your home.

Whilst furniture and home décor are highly subjective - whether you’re looking for that fresh new look, your sofas just collapsed, or you just felt the urge for a change.
We believe any home is not complete without these 5 essential pieces of furniture:

The Sofa - Everyone suggests the kitchen is the heart of the home but with modern culture including day long Netflix binges, pizzas, and nights in; I would say the sofa has the biggest piece of everyone’s heart. A comfy sofa will comfort you when your cold, let you take the weight off your feet and just makes a space feel like home.

A Rug – Often over-looked the humble rug can drastically change the dynamic of a space. From a cold, hard, and uninviting space; to a warm, soft, and cosy place to rest. The simple (But effective) rug can really turn those hard floor living spaces into serious relaxing spots.

The Table – Traditionally a big statement piece in homes, a well-made table can outlast any other pieces of furniture. Although in constant use, a good table is versatile. One day transporting you to the streets of Italy for that romantic Italian cooked meal, the other into the year six classroom as you help (try to) the little one with their homework; That one that you really should know because its basic, but you really have no clue.

The Bed – As a sleeping advocate; personally, this would be number one. I could genuinely consider sleeping as one of my top 5 pass-times. For most the bed is the centre piece of the bedroom. Its used for everything, and we mean everything. Most people spend the longest (Net time) on this marvellous piece of furniture. A good night’s sleep can help boost moods, energy, and mental wellbeing – one worth investing in!

The Storage – as ambiguous as this may seem its actually really hard to pick between the 100’s of storage options available. Whether it be a bookcase, side-table, shelves, chest of drawer; Kallax or Lixhult from IKEA. The storage in a house is vital. Keep clutter at bay – arguably THE single most important piece.

Now do I think this list is exhaustive? No. We know there are hundreds of pieces of furniture people want, but we hole heartedly stand by our decision.

Why? – Their the pieces we are most happy with in our homes. Tried and Tested.
